The well-known and highly regarded law firm of Dar Al Huqooq was established in Sharjah in 1986 in association with the law office of Mr. Maroun Matar in Beirut, it later expanded its offices to Dubai in 1993. The founder of the firm, Advocate Maroun Matar has more than four decades of legal experience in the UAE, Lebanon and other Middle Eastern jurisdictions including international arbitrations centers. Dar Al-Huqooq is licensed to appear and represent clients before all Dubai and UAE courts, Dubai International Financial Centre courts and Lebanese Courts.

The members of the legal team are trilingual speakers who combine their legal expertise with a deep understanding of Arabic and MENA legal culture and norms. A considerable number of the cases and disputes we resolve in favour of our clients arise out of errors and lack of understanding of UAE laws and judicial practices. We do not believe in recommending expensive and futile Arbitration which results in awards being set aside due to conflict with public policy of the UAE or other MENA jurisdictions.
